Gemini CLI requires Gemini Code Assist Standard/Enterprise or a paid Gemini or Enterprise Agent Platform API key for model access. Personal Google sign-in is no longer supported. This is separate from your AI Power Ups connection. Google's access notice. Restart Gemini CLI, then run /mcp auth to connect AI Power Ups through browser sign-in; that connection does not need an AI Power Ups API key.
